Welcome to Neu/Alt! In the beginning...

It's hard to believe that we haven't launched this business sooner and yet at the same time it's hard to believe that we're actually here, our digital shop opening. Sure, i've been selling through the eBays and Poshmarks of the world for nearly 15 years but the launch of our own digital shop, with a bricks and mortar shop on the horizon, is a truly special feeling. This is ours, a manifestation of our vision of the things that we love most about fashion. That fashion is not merely about clothes, humble body coverings, but rather the items that help us create life's moments with elegance and style, give us strength and confidence to face our daily trials. It is our hope that as this business grows we can be at least a small part of helping our customers look and feel their best for those special moments, even if it's just a trip to the office. 

The name Neu/Alt comes from the German words for new and old. Old, loosely speaking, for the special garments, baubles and trimmings that have lived miraculous lives previously. New for the renewal of life they have in the hands of their new owner, for them to cherish and appreciate them until they hopefully continue the cycle again. Beautiful things, things that were crafted with love and care should live on, and that's what Astrid and I love to do. We are so excited for you to share in this journey with us and can't wait to show you what amazing things we have...and of course the amazing things you bring to us!
